Pirates outmatched once again by the Yankees in 10-4 loss.

Game two at PNC Park did not go any better for the Pittsburgh Pirates in their 10-4 loss to the Yankees.

Pittsburgh showed some life with a four-run 4th inning, led by Enmanuel Valdez’s two-run double to put the Pirates up 4-2.

But the lead would not last long as the Yankees would score six runs in the top of the fifth inning. Trent Grisham hit a three-run homer, his second of the game off of Bailey Falter to put the Yankees up for good.

The Pirates could only muster four-hits against the Yankees. New York had 14 hits and once again looked like the better team throughout the day.

Here is the boxscore from April 5th:

The Pirates drop to 2-7 and will play the Yankees once again on Sunday at PNC Park. The probable pitching matchup is:

NYY- Will Warren- (0-0, 3.60 ERA)

PIT- Andrew Heaney- (0-0, 1.80 ERA)
